How to answer
For each activity, choose Strongly dislike, Dislike, Neutral, Like, or Strongly like. Imagine the activity is part of your work and rate your interest in doing it. Focus on whether the activity appeals to you, not on your current skill level, qualifications, salary expectations, or whether you have done it before.
The master bank contains 15 activities per RIASEC theme. Quick uses a curated 24-activity form (4 per theme), Standard a curated 36-activity form (6 per theme), and Full a curated 60-activity form (10 per theme). Each form is balanced across all six themes and selected to cover a broad mix of activity types within each theme; question order is shuffled when the test begins.
What RIASEC measures
- Realistic (R): hands-on, practical, mechanical, physical, and outdoor activities.
- Investigative (I): analyzing, researching, solving complex problems, and understanding how things work.
- Artistic (A): creating, designing, writing, performing, and working with ideas in flexible ways.
- Social (S): helping, teaching, supporting, advising, and working directly with people.
- Enterprising (E): leading, persuading, negotiating, selling, and initiating projects or ventures.
- Conventional (C): organizing information, maintaining records, following procedures, and working with structured systems.
Scoring
Responses contribute 0–4 points to the RIASEC theme represented by each activity. Theme scores are converted to 0–100. Your three highest-scoring themes form the 3-letter display code. Exact ties are shown explicitly in the results; R-I-A-S-E-C is used only when a deterministic letter order is needed to construct the display code.
