What is a situational judgment test? A situational judgment test (SJT) presents short workplace scenarios and asks you to judge how effective different responses would be. Employers use SJTs to assess practical judgment, teamwork, integrity, and communication before hiring.
How to answer:
- Read the scenario carefully — every detail matters
- In Best & Worst mode, first click the most effective response, then the least effective one
- In Best Only mode, just pick the most effective response
- You can also press keys 1–4 to choose an option and Enter to continue
Scoring: You earn one point for identifying the best response and one point for identifying the worst (in Best & Worst mode). Accuracy is your points as a percentage of the maximum possible.
Tips:
- Effective responses are usually direct, honest, and constructive — they address the problem rather than avoid it
- The least effective responses typically involve hiding mistakes, blaming others, ignoring problems, or escalating conflict
- Answer as the ideal professional would act, not necessarily how you would act on a bad day
