What this is: A three-part mental speed challenge. Each block measures a different layer of quickness, and together they combine into your Brain Speed Score out of 100.
The three blocks:
- Simple Reaction: The pad turns red — wait. The instant it turns green, tap it within 3 seconds. Tapping early counts as a false start and the trial restarts.
- Decision Speed: An arrow appears pointing left or right. Tap the matching button as fast as you can. Wrong direction costs points.
- Match Speed: Two pictures appear. Tap "Same" or "Different" as fast as you can. Wrong answers cost points.
Scoring: Each block's average correct-response time converts to a 0–100 speed score, which is then multiplied by that block's accuracy — so misses and wrong answers pull the block down hard, and fast guessing can't inflate the result. Trials that take longer than 3 seconds count as misses in every block. Your Brain Speed Score is the average of the three blocks, and the breakdown shows exact millisecond averages and accuracy.
Tips:
- Keep your finger (or cursor) hovering over the target between trials — travel time is part of your measured time
- For decisions and matching, commit instantly; hesitating to double-check usually costs more than an occasional error
- Runs on the same device are comparable; different devices add different input lag
