About this test: This comprehensive assessment evaluates three core aspects of spatial reasoning. Each section tests multiple difficulty levels automatically.
Part 1 — Mental Rotation (9 trials):
- A target shape is shown at the top
- Four options appear below — one is the same shape rotated
- The other three are mirror images (flipped) — do NOT pick these
- Difficulty increases via shape complexity: 5, 6, then 7 blocks
Part 2 — Cube Net Folding (8 trials):
- A 2D net (unfolded cube) with colored faces is shown
- Mentally fold it into a cube and pick the matching 3D cube
- Each option shows three visible faces: Top, Front, Right
- Difficulty increases via net shape and rotation across 4 levels: easy (cross, fixed) → medium (cross, rotated) → hard (complex shapes, fixed) → super hard (complex shapes, rotated)
Part 3 — Mirror Image (9 trials):
- A target shape is shown at the top
- Four options appear — one is the mirror reflection
- The other three are rotations — do NOT pick these
- Difficulty increases via shape complexity: 5, 6, then 7 blocks
Scoring: Your final Spatial Reasoning Score* combines performance across all three sections, weighting harder problems more heavily. Each section also gets an individual rating with context.
*Spatial Reasoning Score is our own scoring system based on your test performance — it is not a standardized or clinically validated measure.
