Objective: Read a short intelligence briefing, hold the details in memory, then answer questions about what it contained.
How it works:
- Each round shows one briefing card with a fixed number of detail lines (codenames, places, times, plates, phrases and so on).
- You have a set number of seconds to study it. The bar at the top shows the time left.
- Press "I'm Ready — Start Recall" to move on early if you have memorized it.
- The briefing disappears and a short interference task appears: pick the larger of two numbers. Answer correctly to move on: a wrong answer or no answer gives you another pair instead. After a long run of misses the test moves on anyway, so you can never get stuck here. This stops you rehearsing the briefing in your head.
- You then answer multiple-choice questions about the briefing details.
- Answer with the mouse, by tapping, or with keys 1 to 4.
- If you switch to another tab or app, the test pauses automatically and hides the briefing. Nothing is lost and no extra study time is gained.
Settings:
- Session Length sets how many briefings you receive.
- Clearance Level sets how many details each briefing contains and adjusts the default study time and question count.
- Answer Feedback shows or hides whether each answer was right.
- Advanced Settings let you set study time, questions per briefing, and how many interference checks run between the briefing and the questions. More checks make recall harder because you cannot keep repeating the details to yourself.
- Interference answers are not part of your memory score.
Tips:
- Group related lines together instead of memorizing each one separately: the meeting point, time and recognition signal form one story.
- Turn numbers into images or dates. A plate like KL-4827 is easier to keep as two chunks than as six characters.
- Say the countersign phrase to yourself once or twice while reading.
- Use the four category scores in the debrief to see what slips first: names, places, numbers or operational details.
- Raise the clearance level or add interference checks only after you are scoring consistently at your current setting.
