What This Game Trains:
Traffic Control trains your ability to monitor multiple streams of information and make quick decisions. You must track cars from all directions, anticipate collisions, and manage timing — skills that transfer to real-world multitasking.
How to Play:
- Cars approach the intersection from four directions (north, south, east, west)
- Each direction has a gate you can open (green) or close (red)
- Click on a gate to toggle it
- Cars pass through open gates and stop at closed ones
- If two cars from crossing directions enter the intersection at the same time, they crash — game over
- If too many cars queue up in one direction (exceeds the queue limit) — game over
- Press P to pause, Esc to end the game (manual ends are not saved)
Settings:
- Light Control — Individual: Control all 4 gates separately. True multitasking challenge with 4 independent decisions.
- Light Control — Real-life: North-South and East-West are linked. Clicking any gate toggles between NS green or EW green.
- Queue Limit: Maximum cars allowed to wait in one direction. Lower = harder.
- Car Speed: How fast cars move. Faster = less reaction time.
Tips for High Scores:
- Scan all four directions constantly — don't fixate on one
- Let multiple cars through before switching gates
- Watch the queues — don't let any direction pile up
- In Individual mode, opposite directions (NS or EW) can be green at the same time safely
