📘 Detailed Instructions

About this test: This test measures your auditory working memory - your ability to hold and recall sequences of musical pitches. You'll hear a short melody played on piano, then reproduce it by clicking the keys in the correct order.

Difficulty levels:

Black keys (sharps/flats): Including black keys makes the test significantly harder because there are more similar-sounding notes close together.

Replay options:

Note range: Choose between 1 octave (easier) or 2 octaves (harder, with more similar-sounding notes).

How to play: Click "PLAY MELODY" to hear the sequence. Then click the piano keys in order to reproduce the melody. Press "UNDO LAST NOTE" to remove your most recent note, or "SUBMIT" when ready.

Scoring: You get credit for each note you place in the correct position in the sequence.
