📘 Detailed Instructions

The Go/No-Go False Start Reaction Test trains your ability to respond quickly while maintaining inhibitory control. This is essential for athletes who must react explosively to valid signals while avoiding penalties for false starts.

How it works:

  • Ready phase – Orange screen, prepare yourself
  • GO! (green) – Click or tap immediately
  • HOLD (red) – Do NOT click, wait for it to pass

Scoring:

  • Correct GO – Your reaction time is recorded
  • Correct HOLD – You successfully inhibited response
  • False Start – You clicked on a HOLD signal
  • Missed GO – You failed to click on a GO signal in time

Why this matters:

  • Sprinters must not react to "Set" only to the gun
  • Team sport athletes must wait for the whistle, not anticipate
  • Esports players must avoid premature ability usage
  • Builds the neural balance between speed and control
