What this is: A quiz of everyday judgment — the practical "what would a sensible person do" knowledge that nobody formally teaches. Questions cover home safety, scams, driving, cooking mishaps, and sticky social situations.
How it works:
- Each question describes a real-life situation with four possible responses — pick the most sensible one
- After each answer, the correct choice is highlighted and a short explanation tells you why
- Your score counts correct answers; the result gives you a common sense rating
- Choose Question Set A or Set B (12 completely different questions each) or the Full Test with all 24 — question order and answer positions shuffle every run
A note on "common sense": Despite the name, most of it isn't common at all — it's accumulated experience. Firefighters know the grease-fire answer because they've seen the alternative. So treat wrong answers as free lessons, not failures. This quiz is entertainment, not a psychological or safety certification of any kind.
Tips:
- Read every option before answering — the tempting answer isn't always the sensible one
- Read the explanations even when you're right; some include details that might matter someday
- Try the Full 24-question version, then challenge someone who claims they have more common sense than you
