Select the quality you hear: Major, Minor, Diminished, or Augmented
Click "Submit Answer" or press Enter to check your response
You can replay the chord as many times as needed
Chord qualities explained:
Major:
Sounds bright, happy, and stable - the most common chord type
Minor:
Sounds darker, sad, or melancholic - also very common
Diminished:
Sounds tense, unstable, and wants to resolve - often used for suspense
Augmented:
Sounds dreamy, mysterious, and unresolved - less common
Tips:
Start with just Major & Minor until you can reliably tell them apart
Major sounds "happy" while Minor sounds "sad" - this is the easiest distinction
Diminished has a very tense, almost scary quality
Augmented sounds floaty and unresolved, like something is about to happen
